The spark for this idea came from remembering the days I spent with my dad in hospice. Losing him left a hole I still feel, but being there—gathered around, sharing his favorite foods—gives me comfort when I needed it most.

The bonds forged in families and among service members run deep. That's what inspired us to create this program. We want to bring that same sense of warmth—a good meal, a little company—to veterans who might spend the day alone or cannot leave their place of care. Our hope is that every veteran we reach feels seen and valued.
